VP, Franchise Management - Warrenville, IL


This enterprise wide role will establish global franchise rules, monitor and ensure compliance. Develop marketing strategies for various credit union segments within the Corporate’s membership, use and manage the Corporate’s Member Relationship Management System (MRM). Direct the activities of the franchise staff in support of these objectives.

Excellent performance in this job would lead to consistencies in member service and product implementations between Members United’s markets creating clarity for members, excellent implementation of market segmentation strategies, uncontaminated member relationship data, and increased brand recognition. This role creates efficiencies between markets and corporate departments.


 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Establish, implement and monitor franchise rules
• Develop market sales goals in conjunction with region and product management in support of the strategic plan and budget
• Plan and conduct weekly and in person franchise-wide sales meetings
• Evaluate the viability of segments ; create a strategy and tactics for coordinated sales and marketing to those segments
• Generate ideas and lists for sales campaigns based on segmented data
• Compile and conduct as needed, market and product research including member surveys
• Manage and manipulate MRM data
• Report on results of markets, member surveys, MRM data, etc.
• Train internal staff on MRM system; establish and document system procedures
• Manage and develop staff
• Develop corporate franchise plans and process change plans in support of the Corporate’s strategic and product plans. Assist in development of regional marketing plans

Supervisor Responsibilities
One in 2008, additional reports added in the future as needed.

Qualifications
• Experience working in a senior leader level position
• Ability to direct activity without direct reporting relationships; ability to get work done through others
• Above average to excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with segmentation analysis and measurement
• Ability to work independently of direct supervision
• Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups and ability to win concessions without damaging relationships
• Ability to be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic
• Experience with taking an unpopular stand if necessary
• Gaining energy by tough challenges
• Experience working with senior level management/executives
• Experience with goal setting/performance tracking by company/division/unit
• Experience in a small corporate headquarters location with  a large geographical product distribution and network a plus
• Sales management experience a plus

Education and Experience

Masters Degree or equivalent; or seven to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Language and Mathematical Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents; ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints; ability to write articles using original or innovative techniques or style; ability to use modeling techniques and data analysis to establish forecasts and data correlations; ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to all levels of management and staff

Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
