Fraud Alert

Once again, several credit unions have reported that their members are being targeted in another phishing scam. This most recent scam, much like those in the past, was initiated via e-mail and is an attempt to collect personal information from members.

The email request is NOT legitimate. Below is a sample of the scam email.


Good day dear client

We are ready to tell you that we have attained high level of security and we are keeping up with the times. You have to confirm your personal information in order to receive weekly updates and reports from our security service. Take note of the message because if you don't follow all the instruction we can't guarantee the security of your account. In order to register pass-through authentication and you will get all news weekly. Just follow the link: https://the_fraudster's_scamlink_is_here

Anyone who receives an e-mail like the one above, that purports to require personal information and makes threats about security to a member's account, should consider it to be a fraud. Please advise your members not to follow the instructions in the e-mail.
